Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park & Garrison Channel on April 27th Presented by The Junior League of Tampa

Partake in the 2019 Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival as a dragon boat paddler!

Gather your colleagues, friends and/or family to form a team, or join as an individual paddler to be placed on a team!

Paddles Up!

Each boat requires 22 athletes – 20 paddlers, one drummer and one caller. The caller and boat will be provided by Pan Am, one of the race organizers. Teams will participate in three races between 8:30am and 5:00pm in the Garrison Channel along Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park behind Amalie Arena in the Channel District. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded for each of the divisional championship races.

All skill levels are welcome, and teams and individual paddlers will be placed in skill level-appropriate racing divisions. To prepare for the race, all teams and paddlers can participate in up to three optional practices with a dragon boat professional at no additional cost.

Come race in this 2,500 year old sport! Enjoy our food truck rally, live entertainment and activities, as well as special events and activities for our paddlers in the Athletes’ Village. The festival will conclude with an After Party in the park from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. The 16th edition of the Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival is a family-friendly event for all to enjoy!

Participate in as team or as an individual paddler. All teams and individual paddlers have access to three optional practices prior to race day on April 27, 2019.
